If you are going to celebrate a honeymoon or a major anniversary, you want it to be unforgettable. You want a story you can tell for a lifetime.
And no hotel in the world tells a better story than the Burj Al Arab.
As a Dubai luxury expert, I’ve helped plan many romantic getaways. The Burj Al Arab is built for celebrations. The privacy, the butler service, and the “wow” factor are unmatched.
But how do you make it perfect? Here is my 2025 guide for planning the ultimate romantic celebration.
How to Book: The First Step
When you book your room, you must mention the celebration.
- If booking online: Use the “Special Requests” or “Comments” box. Write “We are celebrating our Honeymoon” or “This is our 10th Anniversary.”
- If booking by phone: Tell the reservation agent.
Why? The Burj Al Arab team loves celebrations. They will make a note. You are likely to get small (but wonderful) in-suite perks, like a special cake, rose petals on the bed, or a bottle of non-alcoholic champagne.
The Most Romantic Suites
For a romantic trip, the suite matters.
- The Deluxe Suite: This is the perfect choice. It’s a massive two-story suite, and you can request a King bed.
- The Panoramic Suite: This is my #1 recommendation for couples. It’s located on the corner of the hotel, with 180-degree windows. Waking up to the sunrise over the sea from your bed is pure magic.
Romantic Experiences You Must Book
These are the “wow” moments. You should book these in advance via your butler.
- The “Royal Journey” at Talise Spa This is the ultimate couples’ treatment. You get your own private spa suite on the 18th floor. It includes a side-by-side couples’ massage and time to relax in your private jacuzzi overlooking the Dubai skyline. It is 100% worth it.
- A Private Cabana on The Terrace Spend a full day in a private, air-conditioned luxury cabana at The Terrace. Your butler will serve you champagne and food all day. It’s like having your own private beach club. This is a perfect, relaxing “day after” experience for your honeymoon.
- A Sunset Proposal at Al Muntaha If you are planning a proposal, this is the spot. Book a window table at Al Muntaha on the 27th floor, just before sunset. The view of the city turning golden is the most romantic backdrop you can imagine.
- A “Submarine” Dinner at Al Mahara For a “wow” dinner, book Al Mahara. You dine surrounded by a giant aquarium. It’s quiet, magical, and feels like you’re in a different world. It’s perfect for a special anniversary.
Going Over the Top: The Ultimate Upgrades
If you want to create a moment she (or he) will never forget, the Burj Al Arab can arrange it.
- Private Helicopter Tour: Take off from the hotel’s 27th-floor helipad for a private tour of Dubai.
- Bespoke Shopping: Your butler can arrange a bespoke shopping tour where brands like Cartier or Rolex bring their best items to your suite.
- Private Yacht Charter: The hotel can book a private yacht charter for you to watch the sunset from the water, with the Burj Al Arab in the background.
These are, of course, very expensive. But for a once-in-a-lifetime trip, they are available.
Is the Burj Al Arab a Good Honeymoon Spot?
As an expert, I say yes—with one condition. You must be a couple who enjoys quiet, private, and opulent luxury.
If you are a couple who wants a loud, “party” vibe with DJs and a busy social scene, you might be happier at a different hotel. The Burj Al Arab is for you. It’s a private bubble where you can focus on each other.
The cost is high, but the memories are priceless. To start planning your celebration, you can see all the suite prices in our main Burj Al Arab Jumeirah suite price and booking guide.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Does the Burj Al Arab have a honeymoon package?
Yes, they offer seasonal “Romantic Packages” or “Honeymoon Packages.” These often bundle a suite, a couples’ massage, and a romantic dinner. Ask about them when you call to book. - Which is more romantic, Al Muntaha or Al Mahara?
This is a tough choice! Al Muntaha (sky view) is best for a “grand proposal” or sunset. Al Mahara (aquarium) is more “magical” and “intimate.” I’d choose Al Mahara for an anniversary. - Can I have rose petals and candles in my room?
Yes. Just ask your butler. This is a very common request. They can arrange for a “Romantic Bath” setup for you.
